Custom Trends Report
You can create your own trend charts in Sectormentor, to visualise any activity you have been monitoring while out on the vines.
The Sectormentor Custom Trends Report allows you to plot charts with averages or total values per variety, clone or block.
These charts can support you to learn from your own curiosity: how have average bunch counts changed in each block over time? How do pruning weights from differ in each of your varieties? The charts are purposely broad, designed to be able to visualise a broad range of different results.
Viticulturist, Cameron Vawter, is experimenting with Sectormentor’s custom trends report to ensure grape quality:
‘Lots of viticulturists will look at the vines and try and make an irrigation decision based on appearance, but vines can be deceiving. We track our vine watering needs using Stem Water Potential (SWP) and Sectormentor’s trends tool. Stem Water Potential is a test to show how ‘tightly’ the leaf holds onto water, reflecting its vine water status or water stress level; when we see our vines’ SW go up, we know its time to irrigate. This way we can minimise our water usage, and maximise grape quality. The ability to customise our Sectormentor app to track SWP trends has been transformational.’
